The Brief
At the Bonneville Salt Flats, the horizon leaves little room for distraction. Paradise Rodriguez-Bordeaux stands within the exposed landscape in white draping, her bow introducing tension against the softness of fabric and open sky. The story examines control through movement: the strength required to draw, the discipline to hold, and the clarity to choose a direction

The Direction
Let the location establish scale. Wide vertical and horizontal compositions should place Paradise against the pale mineral terrain and uninterrupted Utah sky, allowing the landscape to heighten the isolation and precision of her stance.
Use lower camera angles to extend the body, bow, and arrows upward, giving each gesture a sculptural quality. Full-length frames should emphasize the relationship between figure and horizon; closer portraits should narrow the story to grip, gaze, muscle, and concentration. The camera moves between monumentality and proximity without diminishing her command of the frame.
The archery elements should feel integrated into the body rather than treated as costume. Every line—the raised bow, angled arrows, trailing skirt, and turn of the torso—should suggest preparation, direction, and controlled force.

The Look
